1 Horns for throw... le Mer 1 Oct 2014 - 21:53

Mattias Andersson

Hey Very Happy

Great forum and tnx for the English version.

I am a sound guy located in southern Sweden...

and I`m planning to build 4 MT-130 with the RCF L12P110K and the B&C ME60 horn. I`ve already have 2" drivers lying around. My idea is to use C-MARK MR3000 (2x1600wrms @4 ohm) for the 12:s and MR2650 (2x1200wrms @4 ohm) for the comps. Any thoughts??

Here is my question:
What is the difference in throw in between the MTH-4654 and the SBH? And how many do I need to support 2x2 MT-130?

Example:
MTH-4654 loaded with 21LW1400 or SBH loaded with PD-1850.
Powered by proline`s 3000 in stereo mode and 1 driver/channel. Is a proline good enough?

If MTH-4654 is loaded with 21" do I need a kick bin?

This system will be used for outdoor concerts mainly! How many people would this system cover?

Best regards /Mattias

Claudius
you will need kickbin between MTH4654 and MT130.

Have a look to a similar system (4x MT130, 4x kickbin, 8x MTH4654) [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien]

hello Mattias, welcome on this forum,

to answer your questions, be careful with your compression driver you want to put on, it needs to be clear from 1,2kHz, if mark chosen the bms one, it's for a good reason, i know there are some more drivers which are compatible but not all of them. please give a proper reference of your drivers

as well i'll say the same as claudius, between mth 4654 and mt130, kickbin needed, because of the cutoffs of the sub and the mt it'd miss a lot of things without kickbins.

Thanks for the link Claudius Very Happy ...lovely reading!

...and thank you lekinwa for your welcome and your input.
I`ll go for the BMS or is there any RCF drivers that would be a better choice?

The 2" drivers I have lying around is no name china stuff. And they sounds ok/good with alot of eq. Is there any 2" comps recommended for the MT-130?
