B&C 18PZB100 Driver for MS-46?

Hello,

I am wondering if you think that B&C's 18PZB100 driver would be suitable for the MS-46 design? I have 2 of these drivers in some old cabs and I am hoping to repurpose them.

The TS parameters for the 18PZB100 seem close to the recommended drivers (PD1850, v18-1000, LF18G401) and the measurements of the actual driver fit the design specs (the 18PZB100 is deeper by 22mm than the PD1850), but I am not very experienced in the nuances of TS parameters so I am hoping for some professional input!

hello bertmacklin, as you looked before the t&s of this b&c driver is close to the G401. on the ms 46 plan you can see that speakers with low QTS are compatible.
You should not have bad surprise if you try this B&c in this cabinet.
have you somenthing to make mesurement (sound card and mic)?

Thank you for your quick reply - I think I will build two of the MS-46 cabinet and install the two 18PZB100 I have in them.
I only have a microphone/sound card in a laptop, nothing professional to measure with. Would I be able to measure with the laptop's stock microphone/sound card?

its maby possible but i dont now how to do with an internal sound card.

make a mesurement could help you to see if speaker matches whit this design and also put some eq if response curve needs to be corrected.
