mhb 46 port length

hello all,

i was reading about 18sound 18lw2400 drivers in mhb46 and there was something about the port length to 21cm???
is this the same with the 18lw1400?? i have build 8 and are about the load them with drivers so help is much appreciated.

also what is the result if you use the port length described in the plan with the lw2400?? are there problems with the coupling horn/bandpass??

for amps i'm using powersoft k3 and k10.
a k10 on 8 of them is a bit to much or no problem with limiting of course?

You could use the same lenght.

There will be coupling problems with any sub as long designs are not the same. This is the rule for all subs.

As long you use a good limiter, there is no problem.

i'm very curious how they will perform with the 18sound drivers.
now they are loaded with chinese lf18g401 drivers, it works but if you start pounding them they start to smell a bit, this happens long before the clip level of
a k3 amp.
