Hi,
Just finished a prototype build of 2x MTH4654 loaded with B&C 18nw100.
They are made partly of MDF and some low grade plywood we sourced for free. They are powered by AT Professional M2000 amp
[Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien]
on top is 2 or our 4 AT pro MH-01. Really hard to find any info on this box but [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien] is pretty simillar.
Firsty, Well done and thankyou Marc, great box!!!
Initial testing was done in a 500m2 warehouse with concrete floor and ceiling. Just one fills the space with bass both on is enoumous. (I really want 4 now). They have a really deep open sound that is very transparent.
A bass reflex box loaded with the same drive sounds really constircted next to this beast. Not to mention the 6db extra volume with the TH straight up.
Cross over around 115Hz for most music sounds good. However 130 seems to sound better for dubstep. Kick bins in the middle in the future ideally.
The only draw back at this stage seems to be their size. I had dreams of having one, on its ,blasting out teh back door of a van while driving round the desert, alas 115cm is just too wide to sit between the wheeel base of my van.
On the up side i've just spotted the MTH-46 VS measuring 100cm will fit snuggle between the wheel bass of said van. Has anyone built one yet. Specs seem about the same as the big brother, will have to give it a go in the next couple of weeks. I'm assuming drive cross seemlessly between 4654 and 46VS.
some pics to come soon, from maiden outing on this Saturday night.
