I have sim the ZXP-18: The Re 8.9 ohm seems a high value for a speaker of 8 ohms. With these parameters, sensivity loose 3 dB, and F3 is 40Hz.

the zyp 18 is a chinese driver???
the sigma is a decent one though....HIELE & SMALL PARAMETERS

also i want you to know, other subs i used were...
x-1 with p-audio c18-650el and,
ms-18 scoops with sigma pro 18's,
b&c sub 18's......and the mth4654 is the loudest!
although i do love my ms-18 scoops

I'm not a big fan of eminence. In the sim, the sigma 18 has comparable curve with ZYP-18, more sensitive than ZYP-18, but less than the recommanded drivers.

hello marc. congratulations on a lot of good designs! i've built 4 of your mth30 cabinets and am very pleased with them.
would it be possible to see the HR input screen for the mth4654? i would like to sim a driver or two myself.

Post the parameters or model speaker, I will simulate. I have only the Akakabak parameters

Hi, I love the design. Few designs seem to go as deep and cover a range of different size drivers. I wanted to know if the B&C 15PZB40 or the P-Audio SD-18 would work in the design?

I've made a sim of the 2 speakers. They are not as linear as others drivers in this cabinet, but are ok.
Don't put no more than 500/600 watts to not exceed Xmax.

Hi Simon, this speaker is OK but can be a bit limited by the 7.2mm Xmax.

Thanks Marc, that's very helpful. They're my kick drivers, but was wondering how they'd perform in the subs. I've got the 21N451, what are your thoughts on using thicker ply (25mm) and thicker bracing (50mm) for the 21"?
